With soulful virtuosity and rockstar passion, the fiery guitar duo have transformed the traditional Spanish Guitar sound into a psychedelic, riotous explosion of limbs, melody and rhythm that must be seen to be believed!
Zurito built a staunch fanbase performing groovy Rumba rhythms on the streets of London and Europe. This lead to a slew of gigs and tours that have firmly established them as forces to be reckoned with on the New Jazz, Pub Rock and Spanish Music scene.

Biography
Zurito are not your average Spanish band. The dynamic duo were not formed by years of classical study, rehearsals and recitals. They were born out of pure passion, chaos and love. Destiny drew them together one night at Brixton’s legendary Effra Hall Tavern, a hidden gem, much loved by locals. London had been Javi’s home for a several years already, but Tere was only in town for a few days to visit a friend- or so she thought!
Ska-Jazz tones filled the air of the packed pub and as punters made merry around them, Javi and Tere’s eyes met and their souls made a beeline for one another. From the first ‘Hola!’, they were inseparable and spent the entire night together.
From jamming with friends on the streets of her native Barcelona, to headlining a 17 date tour of Japan, Tere never imagined that a chance visit to London would lead to a career as a professional musician.
Javi, already a seasoned guitarist with a slew of success under his belt, had no idea that one fateful night in Brixton would lead to him finding the musical partner and muse he didn’t even know he needed.
Together they are greater than the sum of their parts. Together they are ZURITO.

As the morning Sun rose, an idea came that would set the pace of their union: let's go busking! Playing on the streets of London soon led to trips to Europe, sowing seeds of their Musical prowess all over The Continent. Day by day their fan base grew as others were drawn into their uplifting vortex of sound and eventually they distilled the spirit of their inception onto their first first album Tamesis.
Before long ZURITO were on a wild and momentous ride, establishing themselves as one of the world’s most potent and unique Guitar duos. Progression was natural, almost accidental. They simply went with the flow. There was no scheme, script or master plan, just a mutual love of music, travel and each other.
